Our Story



Marcie and Tom




Tom and Marcie Dinkel have been married for 30 years. On one of their first dates, the couple visited the Hess Collection and winery. They were inspired by the multi-media presentation about the vineyards, the process of grape growing, and seasonal changes. They were passionate about making this part of their lives, and set the goal to own a vineyard on the spot.


They have owned the vineyards for 12 years now., Both have a deep connection with the vineyards, lakes and the birds and animals that share this magical 22 acre property..

"Meeting people, and building relationships with them, is one of the biggest joys in our wine business,"




Tom Dinkel attended De La Salle High School. As a senior he went to the Napa Valley La Salle Christian Brothers retreat and conference center. “I was captivated by the vineyards, and met the well-known Brother Timothy”.


Finally making the dream come true, he follows his passion for wines and the wine business. Previously, Tom was in the energy business for many years, including solar energy.

Marcie began her modeling career in high school in Saratoga, CA and was soon “discovered” in San Francisco by the Wilhelmina Agency in New York. She went later to Paris, and during her 14-year career she appeared on close to 100 front covers, including Vogue, Tattler, Elle and Marie Claire. She developed a taste for Bordeaux wines.

"I love to be inspired by the beauty of the vineyards, lakes, lighting and the seasons. Those elements are always reflected in my paintings."




Marcie is the artist for all of the Dos Lagos Vineyards labels: Cabernet Sauvignon, the new Cabernet blend, and the Sauvignon Blanc.


Marcie paints with Acrylics on canvas, then photographs the paintings to be printed on their labels. Each varietal has a different style of art work. Prints are also available.
