Terroir



Dos Lagos Vineyards sits on some of the most sought after soils in all of Cabernet-land, and the grapes are so special that we offer 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that is 100% ESTATE grown. This is the most pure expression of the mountain Cabs.




The Vineyards




Vine growth is limited, yielding small berries with thick skins. Structure, stony minerality and complexity are the result.






Volcanic Soils



The soils are ancient and volcanic, and the tuff is white at Dos Lagos. Soils tend to be fairly shallow and easily drained.





The richness of volcanic soils boosts the aromatic profile-giving multilayered facets, extra depth of flavors and outstanding finish.









Beautiful wines develop in well tended vineyards




Amazing grapes and a wonderful vineyard manager and crew make all

of the difference beautiful wines must first be well tended in the vineyard.

Sun, soil, fog, all have an effect on the grapes. The fog at Atlas Peak

cool the grapes in the evening. The sun warms and ripens-the perfect

growing conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The flavors in our

Cabernet grapes are in the skins.







Sustainability




At Dos Lagos vineyards, we are committed to using sustainable methods in our vineyards. Everything used in the vineyards must protect not only the vines, but the wildlife, fish and birds on the 22 acre property. NO GLYPHOSATES!
